Entertainment Arts, or EA, has done it again. The company is most famous for it’s Sims game series which can be found on computers, gaming consoles, and even cellphones. The newest Sims game to hit Google Play and the App Store is called SimCity BuildIt.

In SimCity, players can build their own city. People living in the city have needs that need to be met, though, and will move out of the city if they are too unhappy. There are water, power, and sewage requirements, firefighters and policemen are needed, and they even want fun recreational activities like parks or casinos.

SimCity is a fun break from any other Sims game. In those, there’s not much of a losing factor. You get to make your own Sims and houses, but it’s very easy going. In SimsCity, there’s the pleasure of having it feel like an actual game because you can be losing if too many people move out of the city, but at the same time there’s the fun from deciding how you want your city to look and where buildings should be placed.

With all new games there are improvements that can be made. Once your city is built, you can change the layout of it but it’s a tedious process. There’s no inventory that buildings can be stored in that most games have when rearranging layouts, so changing the direction of roads can get hard. However, with more updates, such a change should come to make the layout process easier.

Most Sims games on cellphones often have fun specials during holidays. For example, on Sims Freeplay, there are Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years quests. It’s exciting to see what specials SimCity has in store.

If you’re interested in getting the game, SimCity BuildIt is free!
