Centennial blew out its rivalry team Santiago on Friday October 24th by a score of 60-28. The Huskies set the tone early as junior running back JJ Taylor scored the first touchdown of the game with 9:15 in the first quarter. Taylor then scored again for the two-point conversion. However the Sharks didn’t back down as Mason Hale scored a 88-yard touchdown run; thereafter the Huskies scored again putting the score at 14-7.

Shortly after Santiago received the ball back, they fumbled the football and the Huskies came up with the possession. Senior quarterback, Nate Ketteringham then threw a great pass to senior wide receiver Greyson Bankhead as Bankhead finishes the pass off with a 72 yard touchdown run. Centennial continues to extend their lead with touchdown after touchdown, including a 15 yard touchdown run from JJ Taylor as he scores his fourth touchdown of the night. The half ends with Centennial up 43-14.

The second half begins with the Shark’s ball and the Huskies’ defense seems undefeatable, as senior defensive back Christian Rabay sacks the Sharks quarterback and the Huskies’ fierce defense eventually forces the Sharks to punt. Taylor then scores his 5th touchdown of the night putting Centennial up by 36. The fourth quarter begins as Centennial has the ball and Santiago has still remained scoreless since the second quarter. The Santiago offense is able to score once more before time begins to run out.  Centennial comes out still the champions of the rivalry with a win of 60-28.

JJ Taylor finished with 30 carries, 253 all purpose yards, and 6 touchdowns and Javon McKinley had 4 catches and 100 all-purpose yards while Nate Ketteringham had 98 total passing yards and Anthony Catalono finished with 191.
